Celebrate World Mental Health Day

World Mental Health Day is observed every year on October 10th. It is a day to raise awareness about mental health and to promote self-care! It is for individuals and organizations to work together to promote mental health, reduce stigma, and support individuals and families that may be struggling with mental health concerns.  Practicing self-care is incredibly important in maintaining mental, physical, and emotional health. Here are some suggestions on how to practice self-care!

 Physical Health:

 Mental & Emotional Health:

·      Attend Therapy/Counseling

·      Set Boundaries

·      Practice a Hobby

·      Spend Time in Nature

·      Take a Walk on the Beach

·      Read, Draw, Play an Instrument

·      Listen to Music

·      Establish and Strengthen Your Support Network

 Professional Self-Care:

·      Always Continue Learning

·      Disconnect and Unplug

·      Give yourself Time Off

 Each of us practice self-care differently, it is a personal journey.  When embarking on the journey, make sure to pay attention to your body, mind, and emotions & take care of yourself!
